Welgevonden Private Game Reserve is set in the heart of the spectacular Waterberg just 3-hours drive from Johannesburg. It is one of South Africa's leading reserves.
Two sister lodges, Shidzidzi and Nungubane, five minutes apart by Land Rover, each welcomes a maximum of 10 guests in an atmosphere of intimate luxury and offer ardent game and bird watchers an ideal recluse from which to pursue their pleasure. Free from malaria and with a temperate climate, Welgevonden is home to a great many species of game.
Accommodation is offered in spacious chalets, which command majestic views over the reserve from private individual decks and guests are welcome to relax in the lodges' peaceful elegance.
After an encounter on a night game drive with the reserve's nocturnal inhabitants, return to camp and share your experiences over dinner in the boma before retiring to bed to the sounds of the African bush.
